Don't look at me; we live on the Upper East Side

You know how religious conservatives have been warning about the threat posed to families by the proliferation of the "homosexual lifestyle"? Well, now the feathered mule is on the other foot. According to this NY Times article, Chelsea, the nexis of gay life in NYC for over a decade, is being "invaded" by stroller-pushing dads with wives.

One gay Chelsea man complained (I swear) in between sets at the NY Sports Club, that there were so many straight families in the 'hood now, when he and his boyfriend went out for brunch, "literally less than one-third of the restaurant was gay."

The opening last year of Buy Buy Baby on 25th St is now seen as a turning point in the neighborhood's character.
