Andy Warhol's Children's Book

In 1983, Andy Warhol made a set of 12 paintings for a little children's book, which was published by the Swiss dealer, Bruno Bischofberger. There's an apple on the cover, and animals (a terrier, a monkey) and machines (a spaceship, a choo-choo) inside.

You can order it from the gallery, but the book's largely unavailable in the US, (I did find it at Barnes & Noble). I like to think I'm a pretty art-savvy guy, but I'd never even heard of it. The original paintings turned up in a French auction catalogue (They sold last week for Ä384,036). The book, meanwhile, is $25.95 at BN.

I just stumbled upon a CD of children's music by Lisa Loeb over at Barnes and Noble. It also includes a board book.

Sounds cool, but I haven't purchased it yet.
